Before you print

File formats, bleed, pricing and timing. If your question isn't here, ask us.

Questions we get a lot

What file should I send?

A print-ready PDF is best, with fonts embedded and 3mm bleed on every edge. We also take AI, PSD, PNG and JPG files. If you're not sure, send what you have and we'll tell you whether it will print well.

What is bleed, and do I need it?

Bleed is extra artwork past the edge of the page, usually 3mm, so there's no white line when we trim. You need it whenever colour or images run to the edge. If your file has none, we can usually add it for you.

How much will my job cost?

Price depends on quantity, size, paper and finish. Send the details through the quote form and we'll reply with an exact price and the date it will be ready.

How long does printing take?

It depends on the job and how busy the press is. Tell us your deadline when you ask for a quote and we'll confirm whether we can meet it before you pay.

Can you design it for me?

Yes. Our designers can start from a rough sketch, a reference you like, or your existing logo. Design time is quoted separately so you know the full cost up front.

Can I see a sample before the full run?

Every job gets a digital proof. For bigger runs, or when colour really matters, we can print a single physical proof for you to check first.
